This years first major comp is the highly anticipated Walkabout Lodge CUB John Jones Memorial Billfish Challenge, to be held over 8 days on the 6th to 14th of October. Anglers may fish any 2 nominated days over the tournament period, this will give all anglers the opportunity to take part in this great event. Once again the Walkabout have supplied this event with great prizes and a presentation dinner. So start planning your team and dates for this great event as well as securing the bait that will give you the upper hand for success. Entry forms can be obtained from those great girls at Travelworld or visit our website www.govefishingclub.org.au .
Our biggest event for the season The 2007 XXXX Gold Gove Game Classic has been boosted with the news that the club will be hosting the NTGFA Aggreko Championships, teams from around the state will be travelling in to take part in this great event to be held on the 8th to the 11th of November. Last years event attracted over 110 anglers and already this years event will be bigger with some of the biggest sponsorship ever seen. For this event the first 100 anglers will receive great packages, the club is now excepting entries so don’t delay or you may miss out.
With the current weather conditions upon us again it’s a great opportunity to chase some bait for the upcoming events, some nice bait size Queen fish have been captured off the
Mud Wharf and off East Woody.
Until next week safe boating and good fishing.
Once again, Team Streaker will be there for the 2007 Gove Game Classic.
My standard challenge is out there:
Up to a challenge?
If your team attains more points in the Billfish Section, there will be a bottle of Bundy (or similar – your choice) for the team, however, if you accept the challenge and don’t, a bottle of Bundy shall be donated to Team Streaker.
I am not over confident but I have already printed our
Aggreko Champions shirts to wear on presentation night.
Good Luck to all.
